American billionaire Bill Gates and his girlfriend arrived in Da Nang and Hoi An for a vacation yesterday morning on a private jet after attending the wedding celebration of billionaire Ambani’s son in India.
According to a source from VnExpress, the American billionaire returned to Vietnam after 18 years and is on a personal trip in Da Nang and Hoi An for about five days. He and his girlfriend arrived in Da Nang on a Gulfstream G650ER private jet on the morning of March 4 and are staying at a five-star resort in Son Tra District. He also plans to visit Hoi An during the trip.

In 2006, Bill Gates visited Vietnam on a one-day trip, where he met with representatives from the information technology sector. During that visit, he spent time in Tu Son District, Bac Ninh, where he tried betel chewing and listened to quan ho folk songs.
Before his trip to Vietnam, on the evening of March 1, the Microsoft founder and his girlfriend Paula Kalupa joined global elites at a $120 million celebration for the son of billionaire Mukesh Ambani ahead of his wedding.

Bill Gates, born in 1955, is the co-founder of Microsoft, the world’s largest software company. He has held roles such as chairman, CEO, and chief software architect. He is considered one of the pioneers of the computer revolution in the 1970s and 1980s. Since 1987, he has been on Forbes’ list of billionaires and held the title of the world’s richest person from 1995 to 2017, except for the years 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013.
As of March, Gates has a net worth of $149 billion, ranking fifth in the world. After stepping down from his executive role at Microsoft in 2008, he continued to pursue business and philanthropic projects. He is the founder and chairman of several organizations, including BEN, Cascade Investment, TerraPower, bgC3, and Breakthrough Energy. He has also donated significant amounts to charitable and scientific research programs through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the world’s largest private philanthropic organization.
