TPO – The Steering Committee is responsible for researching and proposing directions, tasks, and solutions for the development and implementation of the Regional and International Financial Center project, ensuring feasibility, effectiveness, and alignment with practical conditions, in order to fully leverage Vietnam’s potential and advantages.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 987/QD-TTg dated September 15, 2024, on the consolidation of the Steering Committee for the development of the Regional and International Financial Center project (the Steering Committee).
Accordingly, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh serves as Head of the Steering Committee.
Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung serves as Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.
The members include: Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc – Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment; Nguyen Duc Chi – Deputy Minister of Finance; Phan Thi Thang – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Vu Hai San – Deputy Minister of National Defense; and Pham The Tung – Deputy Minister of Public Security.
Also included are: Pham Duc Long – Deputy Minister of Information and Communications; Tran Quy Kien – Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment; Dang Hoang Oanh – Deputy Minister of Justice; Pham Tien Dung – Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; Mai Thi Thu Van – Deputy Head of the Government Office; Phan Van Mai – Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; and Ho Ky Minh – Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee.
The Steering Committee for the development of the Regional and International Financial Center project was established under Decision No. 1160/QD-TTg dated October 6, 2023, issued by the Prime Minister. The Committee is tasked with advising the Government and the Prime Minister on research, direction, and coordination in resolving important inter-sectoral matters during the development of the project.
The Steering Committee is also responsible for researching and proposing directions and solutions to the Prime Minister for building the Regional and International Financial Center project, as well as assisting in directing, coordinating, and harmonizing efforts among ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government bodies, and local authorities in the development of the project.
